Summer 2005 - 16th Pastors for Peace Friendshipment Caravan to Cuba

Photos from the caravan

These images were taken on Thursday July 21 2005, when US Homeland Security and Customs agents stopped the caravan and began to confiscate the donations destined for the people of Cuba. We're now organizing an international campaign to secure the release of the seized items and to deliver them to their intended recipients.

The moments just before US authorities in were to begin towing the caravan vehicles. They also threatened to arrest the drivers and to impound the vehicles. At this point Reverend Walker directed the caravan to turn back, and to attempt to cross later after our allies and supporters were able to mobilize support for our crossing.
